Case Study: Transport of Large, Heavy-Duty Diesel Generator Sets to Russia

Project Overview: We have repeatedly undertaken the transport of large-scale generator sets for a major diesel engine manufacturer. Individual cargo units weigh between 50 and 100 tons, classifying them as high-value, oversized heavy-lift equipment.

Solution:

1. Specialized deployment of heavy-duty modular transporters and large-capacity cranes for support.

2. Advance route surveys and completion of all necessary route permits and notifications—both domestically and internationally.

3. Assignment of senior technical specialists to provide on-site guidance throughout the entire process of cargo loading and securing.

Key Challenges:

The cargo units are of high monetary value, possess massive dimensions, and have extremely high dead weights. Standard logistics vehicles and conventional hoisting equipment are insufficient to meet the stringent safety requirements for transport, and the cross-border logistics procedures involved are highly complex.

Final Outcome:

The entire cross-border transport journey was completed in approximately 27 days.

The cargo was delivered safely and on schedule to Russia, where it was successfully handed over to the recipient.
