I have plans to study, work, or establish a company in Turkmenistan, and I have heard of double authentication, dual notarization, and notarization certification to some extent.
Dual authentication is a common authentication method for document exchange between China and Turkmenistan. Although China has joined the Hague Convention, Turkmenistan is still a non-Hague member state. Therefore, Hague authentication is currently not applicable between the two countries, and embassy dual authentication is still required!
Common scenarios requiring two-factor authentication:
① For school-related documents: degree certificate, transcript, graduation certificate with double notarization + double authentication by embassy.
② Work visa type: Employment confirmation, proof of employment, and police certificate (notarized in double copies) + double authentication by the embassy.
③ Company registration: notarized + embassy dual-certified documents such as business license, power of attorney from the legal representative, articles of association, and shareholder identity certificate.
④ Reunion marriage visa category: notarization of unmarried/single status, notarization of marriage certificate, dual notarization + dual embassy authentication.
Please note:
1. Before applying for dual certification, you need to obtain the notarial certificate first, and the order cannot be disrupted!
2. To go to Turkmenistan, a double-numbered notarial certificate is required, which includes notarization of the consistency between the translation and the original of the certified document, as well as notarization of the consistency between the translation and the original of the testimony. Unlike a single-numbered notarial certificate, it is more complicated; in simple terms, it has two additional pages of testimony and translation!
