The rice cakes are handmade by the children from the home, soft and sweet, symbolizing "yearly progress and elevation"; each free-range chicken comes from impoverished rural families supported by Handou Home, and is raised naturally by the children with the companionship of their families. The meat is firm and full of mountain flavor.
