How to handle export commodity inspection? YESMORE International provides this guide:

Confirm whether commodity inspection is required:
Determine based on the HS code or the "Catalog of Hazardous Chemicals".
Goods marked "A/B" or belonging to hazardous chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc., all require commodity inspection.
1. Prepare inspection documents:
Company qualifications: Business license, organization code certificate, copy of legal representative's ID card, company registration receipt.
Trade documents: Foreign trade contract, letter of credit (or invoice, packing list), certificate of origin, factory inspection report (sample inspection report), etc.
For special goods (such as dangerous goods), additional documents are required: MSDS, application materials for dangerous goods packaging certificate, packaging performance inspection report, dangerous characteristics classification report, etc.
2.Fill out and submit the "Export Inspection Application Form":
Submit to the local entry-exit inspection and quarantine agency (now merged into customs) or through the electronic port system. The agency will review the materials and accept the application if it meets the requirements.
3.On-site sampling and inspection:
The inspection agency will send personnel to the goods storage location for sampling, and the company needs to cooperate in providing samples.
Inspection methods include: self-inspection, joint inspection, on-site inspection, origin inspection, etc., selected according to the nature of the goods.
Issuance of certificates after inspection: After the inspection is qualified, the inspection and quarantine department will issue a "Commodity Inspection Release Certificate" (also known as a customs clearance certificate), and stamp the release seal on the "Export Customs Declaration". For dangerous goods, a "Dangerous Goods Packaging Certificate" will be issued first, followed by the commodity inspection certificate.
Customs declaration and export: Present the release certificate (customs clearance certificate) and complete documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, etc.) to the customs for declaration. After customs verification, the goods will be released and can be shipped.
4.Follow-up matters:
If electronic accounting or electronic documents are required, they can be obtained through the China Electronic Port platform. If on-site random checks or supplementary materials are required, they must be completed within the specified time to avoid affecting shipment.
5.Key time suggestions:
Preparation in advance: It is recommended to complete the preparation of inspection materials 5-7 days before container loading. Inspection submission: For ordinary goods, acceptance can generally be completed in 1-2 working days. If on-site sampling or dangerous goods are involved, the processing time is approximately 3-5 working days. Urgent Shipment: Inspection can be initiated one week before booking the shipment to ensure sufficient time to handle any potential offline inspections.
Common Precautions: All documents must be complete and the information consistent; otherwise, you will be required to provide additional information or the application will be returned. Hazardous materials must have both a dangerous goods packaging certificate and a commodity inspection certificate; neither can be omitted. Electronic inspection applications are now widespread; companies can install the system themselves or entrust an agency to handle the process. The above is the standard procedure for export commodity inspection. Companies can add or remove steps as needed based on their product category and destination country requirements.

Wishing you a smooth export!
