A Decade of Journey: A Symphony of Gratitude and Growth - Li Dan
This year marks my tenth anniversary with the company. A strange sense of temporal displacement washes over me; ten years, over 3,600 days and nights, I have sailed alongside the company for a full decade.
As I type these words, a slight sense of disorientation washes over me. Ten years sounds long, but looking back, it feels like the blink of an eye. In these ten years, I have transformed from a complete novice in international freight forwarding into a seasoned employee capable of handling complex processes with ease; fine lines have appeared around my eyes, and my mindset has become increasingly composed. All these changes are deeply imprinted on our company. I want to start by expressing my gratitude, especially to General Manager Wang. In these ten years, I have encountered challenges and experienced moments of confusion. It was the company that corrected and tolerated my mistakes, and offered trust and opportunities when I was lost. I will always remember this kindness.
In these ten years, the international freight forwarding industry has undergone dramatic changes. We have experienced the upheavals in the shipping market and witnessed the transformation brought about by digitalization. I am very fortunate to have been able to take root and grow amidst this wave of change. The company is like a practical university, allowing me to evolve from simply handling a single shipment to understanding the coordination and optimization of the entire supply chain; from focusing solely on my immediate tasks to learning to think from the perspective of customers and the market. This process was both challenging and enriching. It smoothed out my impetuosity, taught me patience and communication skills, and made me realize that every shipment we handle is connected to the expectations of a family or the operation of a company. This work may seem ordinary, but it carries its own weight.
Ten years is enough to forge a deep connection between a person and a place. The company culture has long since become an integral part of me. Those days of working overtime to meet deadlines, the joy of solving problems, and the camaraderie with colleagues are all precious and irreplaceable moments in my life.
Ten years is not an end, but a more sober starting point. I know the road ahead will hold new challenges, but I remain steadfast. Because I know where I came from and where I am going. I will carry the gains and gratitude of these ten years, continuing to be a cog in the machine, sailing with the company's great ship towards a wider ocean.
